Text Box: How to Propose a New Member

Text Box: 1) A current member should host a prospective member for a number of Club meetings or events so they can develop at least some understanding of the Club and its membership.
2) The current member discusses with the prospect their serious interest in the Club and their willingness to be considered for membership.
3) The current (sponsoring) member submits a proposal form including the contact phone numbers for the prospect.
4) All references to the prospect until they have completed the process will be as "REPEAT VISITORS."
5) The Interview Committee then completes the interview, classification and recommendation to the Richardson Central Board of Directors, and the board votes on the proposal at a called meeting.
6) If approved by the board, the prospective member's name is printed in the newsletter for two issues in order to invite comment by any Club member.
7) Provided the board receives no objections from the membership, a formal letter of invitation for membership is mailed by the Club Administrator.
8) If, however, an objection in writing is received by the board, the objection will be considered by the board at its next meeting to either confirm its original action or to supersede it.
9) Once the letter of invitation has been returned, signed along with a check for the appropriate dues and initiation fee, if any, and the individual will be presented as a full member of the Richardson Central Rotary Club at the next earliest Club meeting.
